It's always great to try something you haven't had before, especially when it comes to a type of wine. In this case, instead of a vinho verde, it was a vinho tinto.

This wine is a lovely ruby color, with a taste that reminds me of dark cherries and plums, a little cocoa, and a whiff of flavored tobacco from a nice shoppe. Yes, I am talking about the cherry tobacco that fills your nostrils when you walk in.

The taste is slightly grainy (tannins), but still quite wonderful. I highly recommend this wine.

Our Mission: Better Wine For Less is focused on showcasing quality wines that are $30 or less in price, primarily as alternatives to the poor selections that are served in many eating establishments, clubs and parties that cost almost, if not exactly the same. Why drink crap, when you can drink better for less?
