Chardonnay is a grape that many people don't really know
the true flavor of, simply because of so many things such as
oak barrel aging, addition of other varietals and a number
of other winemaking technique tweaks.
That said, I have had Chardonnays which are too oaked and
too buttery for my tastes, as well as unoaked/naked
Chardonnays which have had me drooling. This wine falls
more in the latter, without smacking you down.
The taste has a little bite to it, and that might be from
lemongrass and citrus along with other flavors which
provides you with a well balanced wine that would pair great
with chicken, turkey and seafood.
This wine grew on me, and it was exceptionally easy to
drink the whole bottle and still want more.
