My first Torrontes I had at the Red Maple in Baltimore,
and I actually did like that wine (not love it though).
However, I have tried more wines from this varietal over the
years, and usually like those that are also combined with
another varietal.
With this wine, it takes a mature tongue to sit back and
appreciate it. However, if one does take the time, one will
find a decadent ambrosia with peach, apricot, some citrus,
and maybe even some guava. I like this wine, and think that
it would be great with many salads featuring citrus fruits,
especially Mandarin oranges.
