I just had a conversation with several sommeliers a couple of weeks ago, and one of the things discussed was how many Italian Chardonnays taste totally different than other Chardonnays, simply because they don't use anything in their techniques to color to flavor of the wine. This is itself goes way beyond the concept of an unoaked chardonnay.

At first, I didn't like this chardonnay because it had none of the aspects that I have grown to recognize as a chardonnay, but then I wound up downing several glasses and came to appreciate it.

The flavor is very clean, with some muted tropical citrus flavors and a nice long mellowing finish. I taste some lemongrass and smell some freshly cut grass, and a little straw too. Not bad, and a great wine to entertain large groups at an inexpensive price.

Our Mission: Better Wine For Less is focused on showcasing quality wines that are $30 or less in price, primarily as alternatives to the poor selections that are served in many eating establishments, clubs and parties that cost almost, if not exactly the same. Why drink crap, when you can drink better for less?
